How to Cut Curtain Bangs
Curtain bangs need a soft center split and longer face-framing edges. Cut dry, start longer than planned, and trim in tiny vertical snips.

The fix
- part the front section into a small triangle and clip the rest of the hair away
- cut dry hair below the nose first so shrinkage does not make the bangs too short
- split the bangs in the center and point-cut upward into each side in tiny snips
- angle the outer pieces longer so they blend into the rest of the hair
If it’s still not right
- Style them with a round brush before cutting more, because bend changes the length.
- Blend only the longest outer edge if the shape looks disconnected.
Prevent it next time
- Trim less than a quarter inch at a time.
- Save a photo of the length you like so future trims stay consistent.
