Skin Tint Shows Dry Patches
Skin tint shows dry patches when the tint is too thin to smooth flakes but pigmented enough to catch on them. Gentle prep and pressing fix the finish.

The fix
- soften flakes with a damp cloth instead of scrubbing hard
- moisturize and wait until dry areas feel flexible
- apply skin tint with fingers or a sponge, pressing over dry patches
- mist lightly and press again if the tint catches
If it’s still not right
- Use less tint on the driest areas and spot conceal elsewhere.
- Switch to a creamier base until the dry patch heals.
Prevent it next time
- Moisturize consistently before flakes become visible.
- Avoid applying matte powder over dry patches.
Notes
Why this works
Sheer makeup does not hide texture automatically. It can actually outline flakes because there is less coverage around the surrounding skin.
The fix is surface prep, not more tint. Hydrated skin bends and reflects light more evenly, so the sheer base looks intentional.
